Lifeboat, also known as LBSG (Lifeboat Survival Games), holds the distinction of being the oldest and largest Minecraft Bedrock server network in existence. The server was born around 2013 from a personal project -- the son of Hydreon Corporation's principal began writing the server software at age 14, and what started as a teenager's coding project grew organically into the most popular and technically advanced Minecraft Pocket Edition server network of its kind.

Operated by Hydreon Corporation out of Eden Prairie, Minnesota, Lifeboat is an official Microsoft partner featured on Minecraft's server list. The network has served over 15 million players and maintains thousands of concurrent players at any given time. What made Lifeboat special from the beginning was its pioneering of automated tournament functionality for Minecraft PE, allowing mobile players to compete against each other in organized matches long before most people thought of mobile Minecraft as a competitive platform.

The server's game mode lineup covers the full spectrum of Minecraft multiplayer. With 81 Marketplace products, Lifeboat's catalog is more focused than some competitors, but the server's primary value proposition has always been the live multiplayer experience rather than downloadable content.
