InPvP Held Bedrock's Concurrent Player Record. Then Everything Changed.
27,123 concurrent players on a single Bedrock server. That was InPvP in 2019 — the largest concurrent player count ever recorded on Minecraft Bedrock Edition. One of three original featured servers from the Better Together Update. A name that was synonymous with competitive Bedrock multiplayer before most people even knew Bedrock had servers.
Then the years got complicated. Ownership by Super League Gaming. Player counts declining. A catalog that grew to 364 items but felt increasingly neglected. By 2024, InPvP was a server people remembered rather than one they played.
Then, in 2025, everything changed. A new ownership group — Mineville LLC — acquired InPvP and delivered numbers that nobody expected: 4x player count growth, 3x revenue increase, and a 108,000-member Discord community buzzing with activity. InPvP didn't just survive. It became the turnaround story of Bedrock servers.
The Record: 27,123 Concurrent Players
In 2019, InPvP hit 27,123 concurrent players on Bedrock Edition — a staggering number for a platform that many Java purists still dismissed as "the mobile version." To put that in perspective, most successful Minecraft servers consider 5,000 concurrent players a great day. InPvP had five times that.
The record was a testament to InPvP's early understanding of where Minecraft was headed. While the Java community debated whether Bedrock was "real Minecraft," InPvP was building game modes, infrastructure, and a player base on the platform that would eventually dwarf Java in total users. They saw the Bedrock opportunity before most competitors even acknowledged it existed.
27,123 players, all on one server, all at the same time. That number still stands as a defining moment in Bedrock server history.
The Original Three: Featured Server Pioneer
When Microsoft launched the Better Together Update in 2017 — unifying mobile, console, and Windows 10 under Bedrock Edition — they introduced the concept of featured servers: a curated list of multiplayer servers accessible directly from the game's server browser. No IP addresses. No port forwarding. Just tap and play.
InPvP was one of the first three servers selected for this program, alongside Lifeboat and Mineplex. Being in that original cohort meant something. Microsoft was betting its entire Bedrock multiplayer strategy on these servers being good enough to represent the platform. InPvP made the cut when the bar was highest and the selection was smallest.
That early featured status gave InPvP a massive distribution advantage. Every Bedrock player on every platform — Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, mobile, PC — saw InPvP in their server browser. No marketing budget could match that kind of visibility.
The Catalog: 364 Items, 363,870 Reviews
InPvP's Marketplace catalog tells the story of a server that built at scale. 364 items with 363,870 total player reviews and a 4.10/5 average rating. That's not a boutique studio releasing a handful of polished products — it's an industrial-scale content operation.

The 2025 Ownership Change: From Decline to 4x Growth
By the early 2020s, InPvP was operating under Super League Gaming — a publicly traded esports company that also ran Pixel Paradise. The server was functional but stagnating. Player counts were steady but unremarkable. Content updates slowed. The energy that had produced a 27,000-player record was gone.
In 2025, Super League Gaming sold InPvP to Mineville LLC. What happened next was one of the most dramatic turnarounds in Bedrock server history:
- 4x player count growth — the server went from a declining player base to multiples of its pre-acquisition numbers
- 3x revenue increase — monetization improved not through aggressive pricing but through higher engagement and more players
- Active development resumed — new game modes, content updates, and community events returned at a pace InPvP hadn't seen in years
The turnaround wasn't complicated in concept: new ownership invested in the product, listened to the community, and treated InPvP as a growth opportunity rather than a legacy asset to extract value from. The execution, though, required exactly the kind of focus and capital that the previous ownership hadn't provided.
108,000 Discord Members: The Community Signal
Server metrics can be gamed. Player counts can be inflated. But a 108,000-member Discord server with active daily chat is hard to fake.
InPvP's Discord community is one of the largest of any Bedrock featured server. It's not a dead server with a big number — it's an active community where players discuss game modes, report bugs, suggest features, and organize teams. The engagement is real.
Discord size correlates strongly with server health. Servers in decline see their Discord activity drop long before official player counts reflect the trend. InPvP's 108K members — and the activity within that community — is independent confirmation that the 4x player growth number isn't just a stat. It's visible in every channel.
The Three Featured Server Fates: InPvP, Mineplex, and Pixel Paradise
InPvP's turnaround is best understood in contrast with two other featured servers that faced existential challenges — and responded very differently.
Mineplex: The Attempted Resurrection
Mineplex held a Guinness World Record, peaked at 34,434 concurrent Java players, and was the most famous Minecraft server in the world. Then it died. The Java servers went dark in May 2023 without even an announcement. A former admin acquired the brand in 2025 and launched a closed beta, attempting the hardest thing in gaming: bringing a dead server back to life.
Mineplex's catalog — 290 items, 4.54/5 average rating, 263,449 reviews — shows a server that was genuinely loved. The 4.54 average is strong. But "was loved" is past tense, and Mineplex's challenge is converting nostalgia into sustained engagement after a two-year gap. The server went fully dark. InPvP never did.
Pixel Paradise: Permanent Death
Pixel Paradise shut down in August 2023 and nobody is trying to bring it back. With a 4.02/5 average rating across 41 items and 23,516 reviews, Pixel Paradise alienated its community through aggressive monetization — $20 paywalls on a server that marketed itself as "inclusive." The 4.02 average isn't a rounding error. It's a verdict.
Pixel Paradise was also operated by Super League Gaming — the same company that owned InPvP. The lesson is stark: same parent company, same platform, dramatically different outcomes once new ownership separated the two.
The Pattern
| Server | Items | Avg Rating | Reviews | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| InPvP | 364 | 4.10/5 | 363,870 | Turnaround (4x growth) |
| Mineplex | 290 | 4.54/5 | 263,449 | Attempting comeback |
| Pixel Paradise | 41 | 4.02/5 | 23,516 | Dead (permanently) |
Three featured servers. Three different ownership stories. One turnaround success, one resurrection attempt, one permanent death. InPvP is the proof that the right ownership at the right time can reverse a server's trajectory — but only if the server never fully dies first.
Where to Find InPvP
InPvP is available as a featured server in Minecraft Bedrock Edition — open the game, go to the Servers tab, and select InPvP. No setup required. It works on PC, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and mobile.
You can browse their complete catalog of 364 items on our InPvP server page. For a full comparison of every featured Bedrock server, visit our server directory. And for more creator stories and Marketplace analysis, check out our articles page.
InPvP held the concurrent player record. It was one of the original three. It stagnated under corporate ownership. And then, under new management, it grew 4x in player count and 3x in revenue. In a landscape where servers die more often than they recover, InPvP is the exception — and the blueprint for what a focused turnaround looks like on Bedrock.
